What Does Your Storefront or Website Tell the Military Community? MAPP Tip!

    May 25, 2010 /

Last week we were traveling to Ft Riley, KS to attend and help support a special military spouse event. As always we featured our partners and what you bring to the military community! Our first night stop was near St Louis and we had a few minutes to tour Historic St Charles and get dinner after a long day on the road. As we walked the street taking in the shops we jumped when we saw this store window! We had limited time, were tired and had just been window shopping but this sign pulled us to the door! Does your sign or website do that? Does it say “Welcome”?…

Military Spouse Appreciation Day; May 7, 2010

    April 20, 2010 /

Military Spouse Appreciation Day is the Friday before Mother’s Day; May 7, 2010. “The first Military Spouse Day was first celebrated in 1984 when then-President Ronald Reagan proclaimed the observance to honor the contributions of military spouses. The military now sets aside the Friday before Mother’s Day each year to pay tribute to the spouses who play a vital role in the nation’s defense.” (http://www.army.mil/spouse/) What are you going to do for our behind the scenes military-spouses; the wives and husbands of our soldiers, sailors, airmen, marines and coast guard?  Get your community involved.  Perhaps a community day down ‘central avenue’.  Flowers for military spouses, massages, manicures, free-planners.  Each participating store could…

    November 30, 2009 /

When the minister was informed of what he had just said if the acronym had been spelt out in its entirety, he was pretty surprised. We don’t want our MilitaryAvenue Partners surprised by the term PCS! While it does not contain any bad language itself, it might be considered to be…
